Auf ein Bier: Der niveauvolle Stammtisch

Thanks to surveys and data from Stitcher, Midroll’s distribution platform, the podcast network had long felt confident that a nightmare scenario was unlikely—and now thanks to Podcast Analytics, Diehn says, it’s finally indisputable fact. On average, according to Midroll’s data, podcast listeners are making it through about 90 percent of a given episode, and relatively few are skipping through ads.

Across the podcast ecosystem, the results are similarly uplifting. At Panoply, home to podcasts like Slate’s Political Gabfest and Malcolm Gladwell’s Revisionist History, CTO Jason Cox says that listeners are typically getting through 80-90 percent of content; the same is true at Headgum, the podcast network started by Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld. Those numbers tend to be steady regardless of the length of the show—and according to Panoply, the few listeners who do skip ads continue to remain engaged with the episode, rather than dropping off at the first sign of an interruption. “I think people are overall very relieved to see that people are actually listening the way that we hoped,” says Headgum CTO Andrew Pile. “There are really audiences out there who listen to every word that comes out of [a host’s] mouth.”

Ich weiss nun nicht, ob es nur danach klang oder ob Andre und Jochen diese Funktionen tatsächlich nicht kannten:
Möglicherweise gibt es auch eine einfache Option in Excel, aber weder Open Office, noch googledocs macht da irgendwelche Probleme. Ich habe beispielsweise gerade ein ods dokument mit open office abgespeichert (deutsch mit komma), das in googledocs geöffnet, wo es mir dann mit Punkt angezeigt wurde. Dieses habe ich dann wieder als ods exportiert, mit open office geöffnet, und schon wurde es mir wieder mit Komma angezeigt wurde.

Zum zweiten hättet ihr in Skype auch Screensharing aktivieren können. Supergutes und einfach zu nutzendes feature. ^^

Bevor ihr auf 3 oder 4 ( ) Inhalte am Tag geht, würde ich mir doch eher eine größere Tiefe / Mühe pro Folge (Das Thema Audio-Einspieler wurde schon mal genannt) wünschen, zumal ja die 3 oder 4 für euch 3,5 Leute gar nicht machbar sein dürften.

Ich mag an dem Projekt, dass es überschaubar ist, und ich euch "komplett" konsumieren kann. Natürlich interessiert mich nicht jeder Podcast gleich viel, aber doch immer genug, um ihn zu hören. Bei einem pro Tag kommt man da im Alltag aber schon mal ans Kapazitätslimit, kann das aber in ruhigeren Phasen aufholen (zumal ja Stay Forever auch noch gehört werden will). Bei 2 oder mehr pro Tag wäre dann irgendwann Schluss und ich müsste tatsächlich anfangen, das eine Podcast-Kind dem anderen vorzuziehen, was natürlich zu ungeliebten Folgen führen würde, die darunter psychisch ganz doll zu leiden hätten, was mir auch selbst große psychische Schmerzen zufügen würde.

tl;dr: Ein Cast am Tag ist ok, vielleicht auch mal zwei, wenn es sich für euch anbietet, aber bitte nich (deutlich) mehr, das wird zumindest für mich dann zu viel.
